PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT - PTA - Full Time - Benton (outpatient)

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides age-appropriate services for adult to geriatric patients, under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist. The PTA assists in carrying out the treatment plan to individuals and groups as designed by the Physical Therapist, supervises treatment delivered by the PTA student or technician, provides patient/family instruction, participates in PI programs and documents services according to hospital and department policies and procedures. This position involves direct patient care.

Qualifications

Formal Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: Less than 6 months
License, Registration, and / or Certification Requirement: Yes
Education Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapist Assistant and successful completion of the National Registry exam.
  • Recent graduates who have applied for the registration exam may be considered for provisional appointment.
License Requirements
  • CPR certification
  • Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in state of practice
License Desired
  • Membership or certification in national association (as applicable).
Skill Requirements
  • Must be willing to accept all other duties as assigned.
