The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for devising and implementing a comprehensive wound care program for adult and geriatric. The Wound Care Nurse will evaluate all appropriate patients upon admission and devise an individualized plan of care that will be monitored during the hospitalization. The plan of care will be revised and updated according to the patient's needs.

Qualifications:

Formal Education: Associate Degree or certification equivalent

License, Registration, and / or Certification Requirement: Yes

Education Requirements

  • Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of two years clinical experience in wound care

  • License Requirements

  • CPR certification

  • Current Registered Nurse licensed in the state of practice

  • License Desired

  • Wound Care certification

  • Advanced practice nurse degree preferred

  • Skill Requirements

  • Knowledge of general nursing theory/practice.
