Administrators are responsible for the routine operation of enterprise-level systems. These systems form the foundation of LHC Group’s system architecture, and are vital to the continuity of business. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: performing routine maintenance tasks, executing necessary changes to system configurations, updating systems as necessary to remain within support lifecycles, and generating documentation of changing or emerging maintenance processes for the IT knowledge base. The System Administrator is the first point of escalation for support issues. This individual should be constructive in their ability to guide the problem-solving process and engage end-users and support staff to facilitate issue resolution. System Admins play a key role in the documentation of departmental knowledge, and should provide an example of methodical and documented problem resolution to the support staff.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience
  • Associate’s degree or cert equivalent (MCTS, MCP, MCITP, MCSA, MCSE)

Experience Requirements

  • Expert-level knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Advanced-level knowledge of enterprise-level systems architecture (example: active directory, Microsoft exchange, network infrastructure)
  • Ability to automate systems tasks: knowledge of multiple scripting languages a must
  • Familiarity with process integration: ability to use input data from a variety of sources as raw data for automating routine changes
  • Advanced-level time management capabilities; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain vendor and interdepartmental relationships and leverage them as necessary to accomplish goals
  • Ability to objectively analyze requests and prioritize in an enterprise context
  • A focus on quality and consistency as top priorities.
  • Assists in analysis for the design, development and implementation of technical products and systems
  • Resolves complex technical issues and conducts research
  • Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures
  • Monitor and support computer communication networks both LAN and WAN within the organization or between organizations that are connected to the LHC network
  • Monitor and maintains network node up times and connectivity issues escalated by the first line of support
  • Assist in routine preventative maintenance
  • Provide training and technical support for users and IT staff
  • Works under general or no supervision with a certain degree of creativity and latitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to objectively identify goals and communicate them across technical and disciplinary boundaries
  • Ability to integrate technical and business procedures into a unified process
  • Ability to align technical processes and initiatives with corporate business goals
  • Ability to deconstruct complex organizational issues and identify technical and non-technical elements to remedy deficiencies
  • Focus on quality and consistency of process outcomes
  • Ability to generate meaningful documentation
  • Ability to function in a leadership role, constructively guiding junior staff in technical and professional development
  • Expert-level time management ability - must be able to manage multiple tactical and strategic level projects simultaneously, maintaining forward progress and meeting milestones on time
  • Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures
  • Plan and execute routine preventative maintenance
  • Provide training and technical support for users and IT staff with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence on how to troubleshoot and identify issues.
  • Work closely with other departments/organizations and collaborating with other IT staff as needed to develop, plan and implement new technologies.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude while being conscious of business cost is executed while planning for future growth, and improving current infrastructure.
